Peter Herbolzheimer’s Rhythm Combination & Brass featuring Dianne Reeves kick off side A with a storming rendition of the Ray Noble jazz standard 'Cherokee’ which was initially made famous by Charlie Parker. This is Dianne Reeves like you have never heard her before. She almost reminds of Flora Purim in her vocals on this tune and she does a scat in the middle of which Ella Fitzgerald herself would have been proud.
