Based around the nucleus of Malcolm Strathan (Trumpet), Jason Rae (Alto Sax)&Atholl Ransome (Tenor Sax) the Haggis Horns (yes, they’re from Scotland) extend to an eight-piece live outfit, with guitarist Ben Barker also taking a production role in their recorded output.
Having featured heavily on the debut album from UK funk heroes The New Mastersounds, as well as Mercury Prize nominated Martina Topley Bird, the Haggis Horns have finally transferred the high energy of those legendary live shows onto wax.
Featuring vocals from British soul sensation John McCallum (fresh from working with ex- Scratch Pervert First Rate) and a feel-good horn riff made for the dancefloor.
Hot Damn! is a sure-fire winner and will be tearing up clubs across the globe this autumn.
