The Charlatans are one of the most successful British alternative rock acts of the last 20 years. Much imitated, but never bettered, The Charlatans have been a huge influence on many bands, helping shape the early 90s Brit pop scene. Still going strong in 2010 they took to the stage to play their first album 'Some Friendly’ in full at London’s Roundhouse and Concert Live were there to record the whole strong start to finish. Here it is presented unedited and includes additional Greatest Hits material also played on the night.

“Seems like yesterday when we walked through the door with a copy of Some Friendly in our hands firing up the turntable in anticipation to what was to be the 1990 NME album of the year and the first debut album to hit the Number 1 spot in 3 years.
Fast forward to 2010 .everything’s changed, believe you me, we have flowered and been burned. Have the faces remained the same ????? Let’s have a listen ;-)
Not just a trip down memory lane a celebratory statement of intent. A document to add too, to stand alongside with the debut which now only seems like a fleeting moment in a lost weekend.
Who would’ve known we would have a chance to re-visit and by doing so, by doing this, we wouldn’t have had the time between.
