The PTH Projects are two undisclosed young musicians currently residing in the leafy suburbs of Southampton. Although their names are not known to the masses, their music soon will be, as this part-time shop assistant and part-time sandwich deliveryman, plan to convert their part-time music careers into full-time employment. Usually working under their 'Part Time Heroes’ name, The PTH Projects alias allows them to release some of their more dance floor jazz and soul inspired outings, and this release is just that!
Having held their music down, working away juggling day job’s, the PTH boys have managed to contribute music to a recent MTV advert, whilst still finding the time to remix the likes of MJ Cole, Yungun, Mosaic, Citizen Cope (soon come on Wah Wah 45s new 'Dubplate’ series!!) and Instrumental (Big Chill Recordings). Furthermore, the dynamic duo are currently recording tracks with N’Dambi (Erykah Badu and Jill Scott collaborator) and Monday Michiru: all under their Part Time Heroes name.
This release on Wah Wah 45s see’s them work under their PTH Projects alias collaborating with 'BBC Jazz Artist of the Year 2005? Liane Carroll, and exciting rising star Laura Vane, who’s recently had releases on True Thoughts Records and with MJ Cole on his Prolific label. 'Pretend Paradise’ could be described as an organic piece of broken jazz for the club, and 'Thin Air’ a melancholic, spin-tingling down tempo joint, but we’d rather describe them as two bloody brilliant pieces of music.’
