Long-awaited and requested by old-school electro fans, here at last is the new EP from the king of the vocoder – Adrian Rataj AKA Mandroid. Breakin¹ Records proudly presents to you these three new body-poppin¹ tracks plus some devestating bonus beats for club DJs.
Robots In Nightclubs – classic Mandroid-style spaced-out strings over heavy Kraftwerk-influenced bass and drums with the crisp vocoder vocals which are one of Mandroid¹s specialities.Horizon – Slow and moody synth epic conjuring up the come-down vibes of a winter morning in chilly Yorkshire. A serious track to chill out to.
Instigated Monopolization – OK maybe this should have been the A-Side, it¹s so hard to choose… Anyway, very heavy flanged-out electro beats with one of the coldest ever vocoder raps critiquing capitalism and modern socio-economic policy, plus Mandroid¹s trademark lush strings and filtered synths.
Bonus Beats – More of those incredibly heavy and warped beats from the previous track extended and made even heavier for club play. This jam comes on like the twisted cousin of Kraftwerk¹s classic ³Numbers².
Mandroid is the alter-ego of Adrian Rataj from Barnsley, S. Yorkshire. He was the second artist to be signed to Breakin¹ back in 1997 after sending in a video of himself spinning on his head and doing no-hands windmills along with his demo DAT, and he has been putting his own stamp on the old-school electro scene since on his two albums ³B-Boy No Comply² and ³Electro Freaks Rehab Clinic². This is his fourth EP.’© 2007-2013 Muvolution Ltd
