Singer and composer Fini Bearman, is one of London’s young, up and coming Jazz artists, who is presenting entirely original music on this 7 track, debut album. The record features Rick Simpson on piano, Tom Farmer on bass and Josh Morrison on drums.
Citing influences from singers such as Gretchen Parlato, Joäo Gilberto and Cassandra Wilson, and instrumentalists Kurt Rosenwinkel and Wayne Shorter, her music- with and without text, poetry settings and original words, explores various corners of contemporary music, citing Brazilian and South American influences alongside Western Classical traditions, modern jazz and popular music.
