Chris Townsend is a singer/songwriter from London, UK with a brilliant grasp of what it takes to make a great pop/rock record. Since the release of his debut album “Copenhagen” in 2008 Townsend has toured across the UK, Europe and US supporting the likes of Newton Faulkner and The Feeling. Tracks from his “Copenhagen” album received airplay as follows: > Airplay of single “Radio” on UK BBC Radio 2 and regional stations, Danish national radio, French national radio, Spanish national radio, Italian national radio, US College radio, Malaysian radio. > Played by Tom Robinson on BBC Introducing. And received many favourable reviews by online and print media. Townsend’s new “Electric Pylons EP” was recorded with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers) in October 2011 and is a 5-track EP of radio-friendly, uptempo singer/songwriter pop/rock. Press quotes have included the following: “The 23-year-old clearly has mass appeal and glimpses of massive ambition on the Beatlesy pair 'Direction’ and 'For The Best’, and the extremely radio friendly 'Hardest Summer.’” – Stephen Eddie, Die Shell Suit “Townsend can come along with 'Stay Positive’ and do everything Ashcroft tried to do solo-wise but better.” – Adrian Denning, Adrian Denning Reviews
